5th 6th Grade - Modified High School rules. Games and practices are mainly at Northam Park South on Northam Road. There are 12 scheduled games with make-ups depending on field availability. There is a double elimination tournament starting June 22nd. There is a mandatory evaluation for all players April 4th at Northam Park Diamond 4. Sixth graders are evaluated at 3:00 p.m., fifth graders at 4:00 p.m. Please check the hotline 227-TEAM and web site www.bearcubbaseball.com for instructions in case of rain.
Note: Due to several scheduling conflicts, including Optimist basketball league being extended a week due to snow cancellations, there is a SCHEDULE CHANGE for MANDATORY Kid Pitch Evaluations from Saturday March 13 to Sunday March 14, at the freshman gym at the high school.
Additionally, we are now including 3rd Graders in the evaluations.
SUNDAY MARCH 14 EVALUATION SCHEDULE:
AAA 4th Graders: 6pm-7pm
AAA 3rd Graders: 7pm-8pm
All MLB players: 8pm-9:15pm (if we can finish earlier, we will)
If you CANNOT MAKE THIS SUNDAY, evaluation make up days will be on Sunday afternoon March 28, and Tuesday evening March 30. Exact times and locations TBD. Please check website and email for updates.
A player must be evaluated. If you cannot make one of these dates, please contact me to make alternative plans. Any player not evaluated will automatically be given the highest rating, and will not be eligible to be drafted. In order to ensure competitive balance of the league, it is extremely important that every player be evaluated.
