Pre-K (age 5) - A soft baseball is placed on a tee for hitting. Game scores and league standings are not kept. Games and practices are held on Saturdays at Fancyburg Park on Kioka Ave. There is an 8-session schedule with make-ups depending on field availability. The sessions are broken into two phases: 45 minutes of instructional baseball followed by a 45-minute game. Two applications may be submitted (stapled) together if players would like to be on the same team. This is for Tee Ball only.
Note: Due to several scheduling conflicts, including Optimist basketball league being extended a week due to snow cancellations, there is a SCHEDULE CHANGE for MANDATORY Kid Pitch Evaluations from Saturday March 13 to Sunday March 14, at the freshman gym at the high school.
Additionally, we are now including 3rd Graders in the evaluations.
SUNDAY MARCH 14 EVALUATION SCHEDULE:
AAA 4th Graders: 6pm-7pm
AAA 3rd Graders: 7pm-8pm
All MLB players: 8pm-9:15pm (if we can finish earlier, we will)
If you CANNOT MAKE THIS SUNDAY, evaluation make up days will be on Sunday afternoon March 28, and Tuesday evening March 30. Exact times and locations TBD. Please check website and email for updates.
A player must be evaluated. If you cannot make one of these dates, please contact me to make alternative plans. Any player not evaluated will automatically be given the highest rating, and will not be eligible to be drafted. In order to ensure competitive balance of the league, it is extremely important that every player be evaluated.
